1. What we collect
We collect the minimum needed to run EgoProfile: your email and name (from sign-up or Google), your egogram quiz answers and scores, and any journal entries you choose to write. Billing information is handled by our payment processor — we never see your card details.
2. How we use it
Your data is used to give you results, track patterns across your journal, and (on Pro) generate AI psychotherapy insights on entries you submit. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not train public models on your entries.
3. AI processing
When you request an AI insight on a journal entry, that entry is sent to our AI provider for inference. Providers we use have committed to not retaining prompts for training. The generated insight is stored against your account so you can revisit it.
4. Your rights
You can export every journal entry in one click, delete individual entries, or delete your entire account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, scores, journal, and subscription record from our database.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to the production database is restricted and audited. Authentication uses industry-standard JWTs with short expiry.
